i'm so in love with this healthy primal fudge recipe from practical paleo.
we call them almond butter fudge cups.
they taste amazing, and are super addicting!
they only have 5 ingredients (things we always have on hand anyway).
and they contain no butter, sugar or flour.
even better, they only take a few minutes to make.
you literally just run the ingredients through a food processor or blender,
and then freeze them in muffin tins.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup coconut oil, liquified (if hardened, just heat in pan or microwave)
1/2 cup of your favorite almond butter
1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup of honey
1/2 cup of vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
1) line a muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners.
2) pour all ingredients into a food processor (or blender).
3) blend for about 20 seconds.
4) spoon by tablespoon into the cupcake liners.
aim for an even amount in each.
5) place in freezer for about 30 minutes.
6) keep them stored in the freezer in a covered container. enjoy!
i think this would be a fun recipe to experiment with.
i might try using dark chocolate cocoa powder, sea salt,
or adding mix-ins like oats or rice krispies.
tell me if you try it out!

GOODBYE, SUMMER.
it's finally overcast today, and i'm loving it.
the first day of fall is in just a few days,
and fall is my favorite season!
but we sure had fun this summer.
here are some beach moments i want to remember.

VEGAS TRIP - WPPI 2013.
we made it out to wppi in vegas this past spring...
(wedding & portrait photographers international).
it was a few months ago, but still want to document!
it was a super fun trip with fun friends.
we basically just danced at parties for hours,
went out to eat in the middle of the night,
and laid at the pool. so fun!

SPAGHETTI.
violet is the pickiest eater!
in june her cousin blake from australia was visiting.
she got the guts to try spaghetti since blake was eating it,and they got to sit at a little table together.
these photos make me laugh! every baby needs a
photo shoot involving spaghetti and being stripped to a diaper!
spaghetti is one of my favorite homemade meals.
it's one of my (many) guilty pleasures.
it's one of my (many) guilty pleasures.
too bad violet doesn't feel the same!
blake loved the spaghetti!
look how much his dad served him!
things got way cute when violet decided to feed blake.
we miss blake and his mum & dad!

REVIEW OF THE LA SHOP.
theLAShop.com contacted me about trying out one of their products.
when i saw that they offered photography products, i got super excited!
i chose a 24" photo cube studio.
as soon as i got it, i put it to work, photographing jewelry for my IG shop.
i usually use natural light, but this was so easy to use!
if you know how to shoot using manual mode, you can definitely use this studio.
i used the photo cube studio again,
and experimented with a bunch of different products.
so awesome! i love it!
the studio came with 2 lightbulbs and adjustable light stands. they work great.
you can change the background color too.
the studio and fabrics fold up and fit into a circular zipper pouch,
so it's really easy to store.
only one little issue with it, and this is pretty much unavoidable.
the backdrops get a little wrinkled. i could have easily gotten out my steamer.
i'll steam it next time, and keep it hanging in my closet to avoid wrinkles.
so, thank you to thelashop.com, i love my photo cube studio!
make sure to check out their products.
they have a pretty random but rad assortment!
i've had my eye on some of their gardening products!

i am working on making some pretty geode necklaces...
and have a whole box of vintage shoes i still need to sell!
