why i love march 15th...

because that's the day my most favorite person was born!
24 years ago....his name is william joseph and i'm married to him.
how lucky am i?!
i have the biggest crush on him ever,
 and i am always so excited to hang out with him.
he makes everything more fun.
plus he's adorable.

for his birthday i bought us disneyland passes.
the lady who sold us our tickets gave will a birthday button,
 but she also gave us both "just married" buttons.
everyone was so nice to us!
we had a blast and can't wait to go back.
especially with all you fun kids who have passes too.

happy first day of spring!

i love the poppies that are growing outside my apartment. there are white, yellow, peach, pink, orange, and this awesome red-orange color...i'm sorry i only had 10 seconds to photograph them and i did it while i was on the phone. these images are straight out of the camera, i am so backed up when it comes to editing. it's embarassing.
i love that springtime is here...the weather is amazing and i love where i live. last weekend i rode my bike to the orange circle and just took photos. i bought a sandwich and smoothie and read a short story on the benches by the fountain. i love the feeling of standing still and enjoying a moment of small things, such calm and peace, but being in the middle of a roundabout, you can observe everything and everyone swirling around you in a flurry. but YOU are a rock in the middle of it all. "i am a rock, i am an island..." just be careful when you take the crosswalk back to the real world.

it's too bad i stumbled upon this recipe for a 5 minute chocolate cake you make with a mug in a microwave...because now i technically always have junk food in my cupboard.

here is a photo of my spontaneous treat. mine came out a little dry so i sprinkled milk over it before eating. would be great with powdered sugar or anything sweet and yummy on top! i seriously LOVE chocolate!
