1965

i miss my 1965 plymouth valiant convertible!!
new cars just don't feel right with me.
found these old film photos of her from 2001.

memories...
+ in high school some boys went out to the parking lot,
got in my car (it didn't lock) and used the push button transmission to put it into neutral,
and moved it across the parking lot. it took me awhile to find it after school.
+ keeping the top down all the time except for rainy days
+ having a messy pixie cut and appreciating the windblown hair styling
+ the suicide knob on the steering wheel
+ driving down harbor and my engine caught on fire!
+ listening to the blue album on cassette
+ fishtailing on the freeway, coming to a stop, and then getting out to retrieve my hubcap
+ trying to put the convertible top up by myself, i had to stand up on the back seat to do it
+ a gas gauge that didn't work (i just had to guess)

ol sassafrass!

  1. This post brought back SO many memories!! That car was so fun! I loved your pixie cut! Remember when the cop followed you then pulled you over because your top was down and your 'music was too loud' but it totally wasn't!!??
