the BEST PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVER! i'm serious.

oh my goodness...
i won't tell you how many of these i have eaten so far.

these are super scrumptious. they are fluffy, moist, and full of yummy flavor.
not only that, but they give you an excuse to buy pumpkin spice hershey kisses,
and not allow yourself to eat the whole bag.
most of them will end up in the cookies,
and it still leaves a perfect amount of the kisses for you to snack on!

double pumpkin kissed chocolate chip cookies.
bake them. "do it" (as dwight would say), do it now.
get the recipe here.

shout out to lori for showing me the picky palate. thank you!

and also our own little halloween party last year

we made these costumes using white duct tape.
if you think they're neat, please rate my skeleton costume with "5 pumpkins"
so i can possibly win a michael's gift card!
click HERE to rate my costume.

MATERIALS:

1) long sleeve black shirt and black leggings or pants

2) white duct tape

3) exacto knife and cutting mat

4) white face paint and black eyeliner (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) lay out your black clothing so you can have a visual guide for bone sizes

2) place strips of white duct tape on to your cutting mat

3) draw bone shapes on the white duct tape

4) cut out the shapes with the exacto knife

5) stick the bone shapes onto your black clothing,
but stick them on lightly in case you need to adjust.

6) try them on every so often to see how you're doing!
you can carefully remove and reapply the tape if you need to adjust.

7) when all your bones are in place,
put your clothing down on a hard surface,

OREO FUDGE BARS!
recipe adapted from crepesofwrath.net

ingredients:
1 large pack of oreos
1 stick (1/2 cup) of butter, melted
1/4 tsp salt
1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups of semisweet or milk chocolate chips
1 cup of white chocolate chips

instructions:
1. preheat your oven to 325 degrees. line a 9x13" baking pan with foil and grease foil with cooking spray.
2. chop 8 oreos and set aside to use later for the topping. crush remaining oreos in a bag or use a food processor until they are small crumbs.
3. add 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/2 cup of melted butter and stir together in a bowl with the oreo crumbs.
4. press oreo crumb mixture into bottom of your 9x13" pan. try using a ziploc over your hand to press down the crust with your fingers.
5. in another bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and the vanilla extract.  microwave for 20 seconds at a time, stopping to stir in between. continue doing so until the mixture is smooth and creamy and chocolate chips are melted. be careful not to overcook. stir well.
6. pour the chocolate mixture over the oreo crumb bottom in your pan and spread gently and evenly.
7. sprinkle the remaining 8 chopped oreo pieces over the top of the chocolate mixture. sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the top too.
8. bake for about 20 minutes. let cool for 1 hour.
9. melt white chocolate chips the same way you melted the other chocolate chips. spoon the melted chocolate into a ziploc, cut the corner, and drizzle over the top.
10. refrigerate until they are completely cold. before serving, take the foil out of the pan and cut into squares. YUMMM.

ps: i ate 3 oreo fudge bars today! yikes!

there's always time.

listen to some pretty music today.
it's good for you.

i don't know if these if these are supposed to be little ghosties,
but they make me want to say:
